Great exponents of Manipuri Stule of were M Amubi, Amudon Sharma, H Tomba, R K Priyagopal, Bipin, A Amubi, R K Shinghajit , etc. Females who have devoted their life to performance and reserch are Savita N Mehta, Jhaveri sisters ( Nayana,Suverna, Darshana and Ranjana Jahveri) of Bombay, Dr Kapila Vatsayan, Devajani Chaliha, Thambal Angabi Devi, Tovdon Devi, Ibemtombi Devi, Ngangi Devi, Nayani Devi, etc. Some of the them were successful enough to recieve awards and official patronage. Many of them are handing over this art to their children and students.

Today there are many non-manipuri artists among the most well known performers of Manipuri style. Artists like Preeti Petal, Shruti Benarjee, Sohini Ray, Tamanna Rahman, Poushali Chatterjee, etc have spread the beauty of Manipuri dance all over the world and have been honored both nationally and internationally on this subject.
